Nike commission for PSG, Juventus, Man Utd & Barcelona football clubs

Commissioned to produce a series of graphic illustrations to promote European football (soccer!) to the Americas by a joint partnership with Nike and Warner Brothers. I was asked to produce illustrations for Paris St Germain, Juventus, Manchester United and Barcelona celebrating the clubs heritage and nationalities. All the drawings were created alongside the marketing directors for each respective club.

1. Paris Saint Germain

Only established in 1970, one series of images was based on a Parisiene graffiti style enjoying the graphic style of the time - the second route celebrating the more traditionally decorative art nouveau style of Paris at the beginning of the 1900's

2. Juventus

The club being keen on a classic style to celebrate the beginning of the cub in 1897 - was balanced with a strongly black and white style with a nod to futurist/ fascist iconography.

3. Manchester United

The true grit of England's north.

4. Barcelona FC

The most liberal of the 4 clubs allowing me to produce 2 distinct styles without being restricted heavily by colour - one to mirror a catalan, bull fighting style the second a more progressive theme of deconstruction the above showing four samples of about 24.

This whole job was pure pleasure, thank you to Warner Brothers, Nike and the 4 clubs involved
